  • pure breeds: Labradoodle (commercial)

    Alison will show you step by step the complete grooming procedures on this fantastic upcoming breed. With its difficult coat it’s not always easy to groom the Labradoodle like it should be. Cause we have different coat types on this breed. Alison will explain you all the different grooming tools you can use en need to use on this breed and fur. Don’t hesitate to come to this demo because ‘Poodle cross breeds’ are becoming a big part of our daily life as a groomer.     Lindsey will show you and explain all you need to know on how to prepare the Bichon Frisé in a unique style for shows and grooming competitions. She will teach you how to evaluate the dog's structure and how to groom the dog to show off it's good points and how to correct its flaws. She'll show you simple tricks to create balance and a beautiful profile and also how to create a unique beautiful head and expression. Different types of scissors and techniques will be used to obtain a beautiful, smooth finish on the coat, so you can make any Bichon look like a champion.

    Ellen has been specialized in grooming the Portuguese waterdog in both clips, Lion and Retriever since 1995. For this demo Ellen will put a PWD in the most common clip used in a grooming salon: the retriever clip. To show you the difference she will also bring a PWD in lion clip. Nowadays we see too many Portuguese waterdogs not groomed in the original Lion clip, therefore Ellen will show you and explain all about the specifics of the breed. Sisi and Yang are both groomers and artists. They will not only show you how to make a modeldog, but after the demo and during the show, you can ask them to join a workshop in GTC (Groom Team China booth) stand and try it yourself with them. Come and see how they start from only yarn, glue, scissors, eyes, a nose and a comb. They will create a fantastic mini dog and then finish is with scissors.     This highly specialized Westie lady has a wealth of experience with Westies and wants to share her knowledge with all of you. The Westie is a wonderful breed, which is very popular in the show ring as well as in the salons it can be groomed in many ways. Lisette works with a fabulous technique that allows creating a beautiful smooth back and a slightly longer top line to make the whole dog look shorter and more elegant. The furnishings with this technique have no visible lines but they are gradually longer which makes the whole excellent and completely balanced. Lisette has showed a large number of top champions and experienced that some groomers are struggling with the lines of the Westie, she hopes to be able to help you with easy tips and tricks.

    The Scottish terrier, often called the “Scottie” is best recognized for its distinctive profile and hard, wiry, weather-resistant outer coat in a black, brindle or wheaten colour. Its beard, eyebrows, legs, and lower body furnishings are traditionally shaggy. Jennifer Lee has won many Best in Shows with her Scottish terrier. She will demonstrate how to groom a Scottie in both a pet trim and show trim. Jennifer will also explain the breed standard and step by step grooming techniques on this wonderful and elegant breed. Jennifer will share her secrets on how to groom Scotties from head to toe. "The secret of good grooming begins with an honest appraisal of the dog to be groomed.” Jennifer will explain the meaning of this quote and how to have "A Good Eye".

    Grooming cats in the salon? Miranda, the famous cat-specialist from Holland, with her abundance of experience, will tell you how to handle cats, their temperaments and how to understand them, their coat types and their specific grooming needs. Also the needs of older cats, long coated and what’s the deal about washing cats. She’ll help you decipher these needs and show you how best to handle and hold them to brush, wash and most of all how to handle them difficult situations. With as result satisfied customers and cats who literally and figuratively feel better in their skin/coats.

    The Shih Tzu, Maltese or long coated breeds are very close to William’s heart. He loves their sunny personality and loyalty.     Victor will groom 2 dogs from start to finish and will explain how to style and groom your Pomeranian in a show trim and a commercial trim. Show trim: Pomeranians need to be more styled than they used to be, also for the show trim. Victor will show you how he cuts the style and gives this fantastic breed angular lines. This demo is about grooming the Pom and giving him a full coat, not necessarily a short one. Commercial trim: Depending on the wishes of the customer and the condition of the coat, he turns the Pomeranian into a (cute) but practical and maintainable dog and this without damaging the coat.
